Well, it’s been about 6 weeks since my last post on here. Sorry about that. I took a short hiatus from my soccer specific training focus with the Whitecaps?and went back to run my sport performance training center in Cary, NC as well as returned to the consulting and speaking engagements I had been doing before I came to Vancouver. But I’m back and figured the easiest way to ease back in to regular blogging was with a video. So here’s a very interesting physical preparation video from a Serbian team called the Red Stars. While I wouldn’t necessarily do everything they’re doing it’s always good to see alternative methods of training. Not all training methods works under every scenario and it’s difficult and unfair to critique single sessions without knowing the context of what happened before and after. In addition to checking out this video, I’d also suggest watching their YouTube channel as they have many similar training videos that offer up some good exercises and ideas.

Glad to see you posting this Mike. The head strength and conditioning coach for Red Star (at that position couple of weeks ago) is my really good friend Vladimir Cepzanovic. I am sure he will do a fine job over there.
thanks, really good infos over here!
