
Here’s another nice video of AC Milan in training. As a person from a Track & Field background, it is nice to see methods that are standard practice in that sport become more widely used for developing athleticism in other sports.

He previously served as the fitness coach for the Vancouver Whitecaps and Carolina Railhawks. This is a great look inside what is going on at the highest levels. I think the use of hurdle drills is great. I like the use of gymanstics pads as well…they can be a great way to deload the eccentric part of jump training. Anyone notice the complete lack of plantarflexion by Robinho?
I often coach minimal plantar flexion on certain types of plyos to get a better loading of the knee and hip extensors.
Very interesting, and something I have never considered. Can you please give a couple of examples (if you have time)? Thanks.
